Description
Zodiac CNX 40 iQ Pool cleaning robot
The Zodiac CNX 40 iQ pool cleaning robot is a smart electric cleaner for pools up to 12 x 6 m that takes care of the floor, walls and waterline.
With patented cyclonic suction, dual stage filtration and three powerful motors, it combines strong cleaning performance with agile navigation and
app control for convenient everyday use.
Main features of the Zodiac CNX 40 iQ
- For in ground and above ground pools with rigid walls up to 12 x 6 m.
- Cleans floor, walls and waterline with dedicated cleaning cycles.
- Patented cyclonic suction for long lasting, powerful debris pickup.
- Dual stage progressive filtration (coarse + fine filter baskets) for clear water.
- Three motors and tracked drive for excellent grip and coverage.
- Lift system to make lifting the robot out of the pool easier and lighter.
- Wifi connectivity and smartphone app control for programming and monitoring.
- Supplied with a transport cart for easy storage and movement around the pool.
Pool types and cleaning coverage
The Zodiac CNX 40 iQ is designed to work with almost any residential pool configuration.
It is suitable for in ground pools and above ground pools with rigid walls, regardless of shape. It handles rectangular, oval and free form pools and
adapts its cleaning route using integrated smart sensors.
- Maximum pool size: 12 x 6 m.
- Recommended for liner, reinforced membrane, polyester, painted concrete and tiled finishes.
- Works on flat bottoms, gentle slopes, complex slopes and diamond shape bottoms.
- Complete coverage of floor, walls and waterline in the selected cycle.
Cleaning performance and filtration
The CNX 40 iQ uses patented cyclonic suction to maintain a stable, powerful flow throughout the cleaning cycle.
Its helix shaped front and rear brushes dislodge dirt and algae, while the wide 23 cm suction inlet and double filtration basket capture both coarse and fine debris.
- Cyclonic suction technology keeps debris suspended in the filter for constant suction.
- Dual level filter (for example 150 ยตm + 60 ยตm) separates large and fine particles for efficient filtration.
- Large filter capacity (around 4 litres) reduces the frequency of emptying during the season.
- Top access filter lid with transparent window makes it easy to check and clean the baskets.
Smart navigation and cleaning cycles
With three motors and embedded smart sensors, the Zodiac CNX 40 iQ maps and follows an efficient route through the pool.
It optimises its path to reduce overlaps and improve coverage, even in irregular pools.
- Navigation based on on board sensors for agile, precise movement.
- Tracked drive system for reliable grip on all common pool surfaces.
- Dedicated cleaning cycles:
- Floor only: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Floor, walls and waterline: approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Automatic stop at the end of the cycle.
Connectivity and app functions
The CNX 40 iQ includes wifi connectivity and can be paired with a smartphone app for remote control and advanced settings.
Through the app you can start or stop a cycle, select the type of cleaning and adjust certain preferences without going to the technical area.
- Remote start and stop of cleaning cycles.
- Selection of cleaning mode (floor only or floor, walls and waterline).
- Consultation of cleaning history and operating status.
- Potential firmware updates and optimisation via the app when supported.
Ergonomics, handling and lift system
Daily handling of the Zodiac CNX 40 iQ is designed to be as simple as possible.
The integrated lift system reduces the effort needed to remove the robot from the pool and the included transport cart makes it easy to move and store the unit.
- Lift system to expel water quickly so the robot feels lighter when lifted.
- Ergonomic carrying handle for safe removal at the waterline.
- Transport cart for convenient movement between storage and pool side.
- Floating cable of about 18 m to cover pools up to 12 x 6 m.
Installation and maintenance
The Zodiac CNX 40 iQ is supplied ready to use. Installation is limited to connecting the control unit, unrolling the floating cable and placing the robot in the pool.
- Place the control unit in a dry, ventilated area at least 3.5 m from the pool edge.
- Connect the floating cable to the control unit and spread the cable over the water surface to avoid tangles.
- Immerse the robot vertically to evacuate air, then place it on the pool floor and start the chosen cycle.
- Rinse the filter baskets with clean water after each or every few cycles, depending on debris load.
- Inspect brushes, tracks and cable regularly and replace worn parts to maintain performance.
For winter or long periods of inactivity, store the robot on its cart in a frost free space, out of direct sunlight, with the cable loosely coiled.
